Requests_Transport_fsockopen::request() WordPress Method
The fsockopen() function is used to open a socket on a server. The function takes two parameters: the socket type and the socket address. The socket type can be either SOCK_STREAM or SOCK_DGRAM. The socket address is a string consisting of a hostname and a port number. The fsockopen() function returns a resource that can be used to communicate with the server. The communication is done using the fwrite() and fread() functions. The fsockopen() function can be used to connect to a variety of different servers. The most common use is to connect to a web server in order to send a request and receive a response. The fsockopen() function can also be used to connect to an FTP server or a POP3 server.
