WP_REST_Server::serve_request() WordPress Method
The WP_REST_Server::serve_request() method is used to handle a request to a WordPress REST API. This method initializes the handling of the request, including verifying the user's permissions to make the request.
WP_REST_Server::serve_request( string $path = null ) #
Handles serving a REST API request.
Description
Matches the current server URI to a route and runs the first matching callback then outputs a JSON representation of the returned value.
