WP_Widget_Block::update() WordPress Method

The WP_Widget_Block::update() method is responsible for saving the widget block settings. This method is called when the widget block is first created and whenever the settings are updated. The settings are saved as an array in the database.

WP_Widget_Block::update( array $new_instance, array $old_instance ) #

Handles updating settings for the current Block widget instance.


Parameters

$new_instance

(array)(Required)New settings for this instance as input by the user via WP_Widget::form().

$old_instance

(array)(Required)Old settings for this instance.
