_relocate_children() WordPress Function

The function _relocate_children() is used to move all child posts of a given parent post to a new parent post. This is useful when you want to change the parent of a post, or when you want to move all children of a post to another post.

_relocate_children( int $old_ID, int $new_ID ) #

This was once used to move child posts to a new parent.
