get_categories() WordPress Function
The get_categories() function is used to retrieve the list of categories for a given post. It accepts an optional array of arguments, which can be used to customize the output.
get_categories( string|array $args = '' ) #
Retrieves a list of category objects.
Description
If you set the ‘taxonomy’ argument to ‘link_category’, the link categories will be returned instead.
