WP_REST_Templates_Controller::update_item_permissions_check() WordPress Method
The WP_REST_Templates_Controller::update_item_permissions_check() method is used to check if a given request has permission to update a template. This method is used to check if a given request has permission to update a template. If the template is not owned by the current user, then the request will need to have the edit_others_templates capability.

Checks if a given request has access to write a single template.
Parameters

(true|WP_Error) True if the request has write access for the item, WP_Error object otherwise.
