get_block_template() WordPress Function

The get_block_template() function is used to retrieve the path of the template file for the given block. This function is useful for creating custom blocks that need to use a template file.

get_block_template( string $id, string $template_type = 'wp_template' ) #

Retrieves a single unified template object using its id.


Parameters

$id

(string)(Required)Template unique identifier (example: theme_slug//template_slug).

$template_type

(string)(Optional) Template type: 'wp_template' or 'wp_template_part'. Default 'wp_template'.

Default value: 'wp_template'
