wp_old_slug_redirect() WordPress Function
The wp_old_slug_redirect() function is used to redirect old slugs to the correct post. This function is useful when a post's slug is changed and there are links to the old slug on the internet. When someone tries to access the old slug, they will be redirected to the correct post.
