auto_core_update_send_email WordPress Filter Hook

The auto_core_update_send_email hook is called when an update to the WordPress core is available and email notifications are enabled. This hook allows you to modify the email content and headers before it is sent.

apply_filters( 'auto_core_update_send_email', bool $send, string $type, object $core_update, mixed $result ) #

Filters whether to send an email following an automatic background core update.


Parameters

$send

(bool)Whether to send the email. Default true.

$type

(string)The type of email to send. Can be one of 'success', 'fail', 'critical'.

$core_update

(object)The update offer that was attempted.

$result

(mixed)The result for the core update. Can be WP_Error.
