WP_Customize_Theme_Control::render_content() WordPress Method
The WP_Customize_Theme_Control::render_content() method is used to display the content for a theme control in the Customizer. Themes must override this method to display their own controls.

Don’t render the control content from PHP, as it’s rendered via JS on load.
