WP_Filesystem_ftpsockets::connect() WordPress Method
The WP_Filesystem_ftpsockets::connect() method establishes an FTP connection using the PHP ftp_connect() function. This method is used by the WordPress filesystem abstraction layer when connecting to an FTP server.
