WP_Filesystem_ftpsockets::exists() WordPress Method
The exists() method for the WP_Filesystem_ftpsockets class checks to see if a file or directory exists on the FTP server. If the file or directory exists, the method returns true. Otherwise, the method returns false.
WP_Filesystem_ftpsockets::exists( string $file ) #
Checks if a file or directory exists.
Parameters

(bool) Whether $file exists or not.
