WP_Session_Tokens::update_session() WordPress Method

The WP_Session_Tokens::update_session() function updates an existing session token with a new one. A new session token is generated using the wp_generate_token() function. The function accepts two arguments, the user ID and the session ID. If the user ID is not provided, the current user ID is used.

WP_Session_Tokens::update_session( string $verifier, array $session = null ) #

Updates a session based on its verifier (token hash).


Description

Omitting the second argument destroys the session.
