WP_Theme::get_file_path() WordPress Method

The WP_Theme::get_file_path() function can be used to get the path to a specific file within a theme. This is useful for making sure that you are using the correct file when you are making changes to a theme.

WP_Theme::get_file_path( string $file = '' ) #

Retrieves the path of a file in the theme.


Description

Searches in the stylesheet directory before the template directory so themes which inherit from a parent theme can just override one file.
