WP_Theme::get_template_directory() WordPress Method

The WP_Theme::get_template_directory() method is used to retrieve the absolute path to the directory where the theme templates are located. This is useful for making sure that you are using the correct template when you are making calls to other Wordpress methods.

WP_Theme::get_template_directory() #

Returns the absolute path to the directory of a theme’s “template” files.


Description

In the case of a child theme, this is the absolute path to the directory of the parent theme’s files.
