WP_Widget_Search::update() WordPress Method
The WP_Widget_Search::update() method is used to update the settings for a particular search widget instance. This is called when the widget is first registered with WordPress, and whenever the widget settings are saved by the user.
WP_Widget_Search::update( array $new_instance, array $old_instance ) #
Handles updating settings for the current Search widget instance.
Parameters
- $new_instance
(array)(Required)New settings for this instance as input by the user via WP_Widget::form().
- $old_instance
(array)(Required)Old settings for this instance.
Return
(array) Updated settings.
