esc_html WordPress Filter Hook

The esc_html hook is a WordPress hook that is used to escape HTML elements in order to prevent them from being rendered by the browser. This hook is typically used when outputting data that has been entered by users into the WordPress database.

apply_filters( 'esc_html', string $safe_text, string $text ) #

Filters a string cleaned and escaped for output in HTML.


Description

Text passed to esc_html() is stripped of invalid or special characters before output.
