rest_insert_user WordPress Action Hook

The rest_insert_user hook is called when a user is created via the REST API. This hook allows you to programmatically alter the data that is used to create the user, or take action after the user has been created. For example, you could use this hook to send a welcome email to the new user, or add the user to a mailing list.

do_action( 'rest_insert_user', WP_User $user, WP_REST_Request $request, bool $creating ) #

Fires immediately after a user is created or updated via the REST API.


Parameters

$user

(WP_User)Inserted or updated user object.

$request

(WP_REST_Request)Request object.

$creating

(bool)True when creating a user, false when updating.
