rest_prepare_widget WordPress Filter Hook

The rest_prepare_widget hook allows you to modify a widget before it is sent to the REST API. This hook is useful for making sure that your widget data is in the format that you want.

apply_filters( 'rest_prepare_widget', WP_REST_Response|WP_Error $response, array $widget, WP_REST_Request $request ) #

Filters the REST API response for a widget.


Parameters

$response

(WP_REST_Response|WP_Error)The response object, or WP_Error object on failure.

$widget

(array)The registered widget data.

$request

(WP_REST_Request)Request used to generate the response.
