WP_Widget_Categories::update() WordPress Method

The WP_Widget_Categories::update() method is used to update the settings for a particular instance of the widget. The instance is passed to the method as an argument, and the new settings are specified in an array.

WP_Widget_Categories::update( array $new_instance, array $old_instance ) #

Handles updating settings for the current Categories widget instance.


Parameters

$new_instance

(array)(Required)New settings for this instance as input by the user via WP_Widget::form().

$old_instance

(array)(Required)Old settings for this instance.
