wp_safe_remote_get() WordPress Function

The wp_safe_remote_get() function is used to fetch a URL and return its contents. This function is similar to the WordPress native wp_remote_get() function, but is considered safe for use in a WordPress context. This function was added in WordPress 4.4.0.

wp_safe_remote_get( string $url, array $args = array() ) #

Retrieve the raw response from a safe HTTP request using the GET method.


Description

This function is ideal when the HTTP request is being made to an arbitrary URL. The URL is validated to avoid redirection and request forgery attacks.
