pre_get_avatar_data WordPress Filter Hook

The pre_get_avatar_data hook allows you to modify the data used to generate an avatar before it is retrieved. This can be useful for forcing a specific size or shape, or retrieving an alternate source.

apply_filters( 'pre_get_avatar_data', array $args, mixed $id_or_email ) #

Filters whether to retrieve the avatar URL early.

Description

Passing a non-null value in the ‘url’ member of the return array will effectively short circuit get_avatar_data(), passing the value through the ‘get_avatar_data’ filter and returning early.
