wp_add_post_tags() WordPress Function

The wp_add_post_tags() function allows you to add tags to a post in WordPress. This function takes two arguments: the first is the ID of the post to which you want to add tags, and the second is an array of tags.

wp_add_post_tags( int $post_id, string|array $tags = '' ) #

$post_id

(int)(Optional) The Post ID. Does not default to the ID of the global $post.

$tags

(string|array)(Optional) An array of tags to set for the post, or a string of tags separated by commas.

Default value: ''
