delete_comment WordPress Action Hook

The delete_comment hook is a WordPress hook that is fired when a comment is deleted from the WordPress database. It is one of the few hooks that is not fired when a comment is trashed. This hook can be used to perform an action when a comment is deleted, such as sending an email notification or logging the deletion.

do_action( 'delete_comment', string $comment_id, WP_Comment $comment ) #

Fires immediately before a comment is deleted from the database.


Parameters

$comment_id

(string)The comment ID as a numeric string.

$comment

(WP_Comment)The comment to be deleted.
