wp_get_mime_types() WordPress Function
The wp_get_mime_types() function is used to retrieve the list of allowed mime types for Uploads. This is a handy function for those who need to verify that their Uploads are of the correct type before inserting them into the database.

Return
(string[]) Array of mime types keyed by the file extension regex corresponding to those types.

Usage:

Notes:
Applies the filter mime_types to return value, passing the array of mime types. This filter should be used to add types, not remove them. To remove types, use the upload_mimes filter.
